Supper at Nebo
At Nebo Lodge, we believe a vacation or retreat is only as good as the view—and the food!
Our menus are based around the exceptional local produce, meat, fish, cheeses and other foodstuff produced on the island and in Maine. That doesn’t mean we don’t include fabulous Valrhona chocolate or Italian prosciutto di Parma—it just means we celebrate what’s fresh and in season. Our menu changes all the time as inspiring ingredients come across our table, but you can always count on locally raised beef, island-farmed oysters and produce and our own fresh-baked bread. We also believe in toasting this bounty with great wine and fresh, creative cocktails… cheers!
Here’s an example of what our menu might look like when you visit:
Meet The Chefs
Chef Amanda Hallowell grew up on North Haven and learned to cook from her mom and, more recently, from Stacey Glassman at Swan's Way Catering Company in Lincolnville, Maine. A veteran of the restaurant industry, she cut her teeth at the Pulpit Harbor Inn and Restaurant, a North Haven B&B owned and run by her father and stepmother from 1984-1994.
Josh Amato grew up in Camden, Maine and learned to cook - and met Amanda - at Swan's Way Catering Company. Josh spends his days as a sternman for a North Haven lobsterman and is the proud father of Hella, his daughter with Amanda, who was born in November 2007.
The Authentic Maine Lobsterbake
Celebrate your Maine island experience with an authentic lobster bake on the beach. Your family and friends will never forget sipping cocktails while they watch the sun set over the mountains to the West of the island, and then feasting on lobster, clams or mussels, spicy sausages, potatoes and grilled corn cooked over an open fire. We’ll also serve up homemade rolls, fresh salad and a delicious dessert like apple cranberry crisp with vanilla ice cream and s’mores cooked over the coals. Please call us for more information on rates and availability.
